Here it is, the fourth day of this juicing thing.
I have determined that something in the Carrot-Celery-beet-ginger is doing me good. If I go for a while without it, the pain comes back. Carrot juice nor carrot-apple juice does anything for the pain.
Gerson’s Green Juice, pictured above, is not the best tasting, but the cancer fighting properties in it is worth it. It is also packed with numerous enzymes and nutrients. I think it is a keeper. Gerson calls for it 3 times daily, I’m only making it twice a day.
Each day I am juicing 5lbs of carrots, 2 bundles of celery, 1 beet, 5 granny smith apples, and a good amount of ginger. This is just the juice for the day. I still use lots of dark greens for that Green Juice.
I have been making all this juice the night before and carrying it to work in two 40oz stainless steel water bottles. I have a pint glass like the one above and drink about 8oz every hour, alternating as the day goes on.
With the help I am receiving from the Carrot-Celery-Beet-Ginger, I am considering only using that and no longer making the Carrot-Apple.
I talked with a Naturopathic doctor who specializes in cancer care today and he said that his protocol typically calls for less carbs that what Gerson does. Depending on how my visit with him and the nutritionist, I may be decreasing my carrot juicing.
